the Trapping
(commissioned work)

This is the first of the editions to my web page, I would love to here thoughts from any of you.  The painting is a gift from a female to an old love interest, or rather one of her great loves. Neither can be with the other for reasons known to them, however neither can move on, so they are en essence trapped.  I don't suppose any of you know how to trap a raccoon? You take an apple and place it in a box with a hole large enough to get his hand through, but not large enough to get the apple back to the other side.  The raccoon will not let go of the apple and deny his desires, so he stays there with the apple all night trying to get it back to his side.

Much like the present on the other side of the fence in this painting. The holes in the fence are large enough to get their hands through, but not to get the present back to the other side. They are trapped.
