R. KENT TAGER,

CAPSULE SUMMARY

On January 4, 2001, a $290,000+ Judgment was rendered against Gordon D. Turner by his former employer, The Hub of I-40, Ltd., and the Estate of Henry C. Tager. The 11-page decision by Superior Court Judge Peter McHugh, rendered after a 13-day trial, sets forth in detail the manner in which Gordon Turner, the chief financial person for the Hub companies, systematically took funds from his employer, by forging the signature of Henry Tager, owner of the Hub companies, and by changing the payee on checks after Henry Tager signed the checks. The 11-page Judgment also details how Gordon Turner committed "theft by credit card," by fraudulently returning merchandise to The Hub that had never actually been purchased, and creating credits he then used to pay personal, family expenses.
